Makes enough brine for 2 lbs. of pickles
Directions from the Test Kitchen:
Wash and cut vegetables to be pickled into desired shape and size, pack into mason jars (pints or quarts..we prefer quarts) and set aside.
Simmer 2 cups of water and 2/3 cup of white vinegar along with the contents of the package and 1 tablespoon of kosher salt in a small sauce pan for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
Pour brine over vegetables until covered. Seal and refrigerate. Allow 24-48 hours to achieve best results.
